Osvaldo Orsini is a 39 year old Dominican mountaineer who will attempt to summit the highest mountain of each continent. His goal is two-fold, climb what is known in the mountaineering world as the seven summits and in the process become the first Dominican to do so, and to increase awareness for climate change in the Dominican Republic and globally. "If we educate people and inspire them to take small actions, we can curb the causes of global warming. We have the power to do something, we must ACT NOW." Osvaldo Orsini | S P A C E R | Osvaldo has always been interested in the preservation of our natural environment and in the wildlife that make these habitats their homes. That is why he has devoted most of his life to nature preservation, mountaineering, scuba diving and Speleology. He believes that overcoming climate change starts with daily choices made by individual people which collectively change the world. The Climb is the catalyst to be able to do more and make a difference in the Dominican Republic by offering a range of educational programs and events focused on Climate Change. |
